A Note from Our CEO on the Passing of Alan Rutsky
Alan Rutsky, the treasurer of the MHA board, and a cherished member of our organization, has passed away.
Alan has been a member of our board since 1998. His counsel, guidance and friendship to all of us cannot be replaced. Alan loved MHA, and looked at our growth with such happiness because it was an opportunity to help more people. He was so proud of our accomplishments and his role in easing human suffering.
Alan’s funeral will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Gutterman’s Funeral Parlor- Long Beach Road in Rockville Center.
The family will sit Shiva at Alan’s home at 2069 Ellen Drive, Merrick, NY 11566. at the following times:
Thursday: 4-9pm
Friday: 12-5pm
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday: 12-8pm
Wednesday until 12pm.
Our hearts go out Alan’s beloved wife Ellen, his sons Keith, Jordan and David, their wives Jennifer and Kim and his grandson Nathan.
The family has asked that to honor Alan’s legacy we redouble our commitment to help all of those who face mental health challenges.
That is a promise we are honored to keep.
