NEW YORK, NY  July 22,2024 In honor of Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, Vibrant Emotional Health, one of the nation’s leading mental health organizations, in partnership with the Titan Executive Network, hosted a compelling panel discussion titled “Thriving in Leadership: Our Wealth & Wellness.” The event, held at Vibrant’s headquarters, brought together over 85 women leaders in C-suite positions, both in person and virtually.

The panelists included:

  • Dr. Tia Dole, Chief 988 Lifeline Officer at Vibrant Emotional Health
  • Tiffany Dufu, President of the Tory Burch Foundation
  • Stephanie A. Royal, Chief People & Culture Officer of Robin Hood

Moderated by Lesleigh “LIU” Irish-Underwood, Chief External Affairs Officer & Head of Brand at Vibrant Emotional Health, the panelists shared their unique insights and experiences on the unique challenges Black women face in leadership roles. They explored the intersections of wealth and wellness, highlighting strategies for thriving in leadership while maintaining personal well-being.

Dr. Tia Dole shared, “The two biggest barriers to economic empowerment and mental well-being for Black women in the corporate sector aren’t stigma; they are the enormous cost of health services and time.”

Tiffany Dufu added, “One of the things I find fascinating is that regardless of where we were born, what country we came from, or what values or culture we hold…somehow, we all ended up with very similar, if not the same, job descriptions for what it means to be a good wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt, etc.”

Stephanie A. Royal expressed, “We cannot achieve it all at once, but we can get there by planning, pacing ourselves, and being strategic. So, you can get it all, but understand it may come at different times.”

The panel discussion is part of Vibrant Emotional Health’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health and well-being within diverse communities. It emphasizes the importance of representation and support from minority leaders in executive roles.

Special thanks to the Titan Executive Network, Cindy Kynard, Yenny Toone, Nathalie Lubin, Lori Rodney, and Love Malone for organizing and co-hosting this impactful event. Their collaboration ensured a comprehensive and engaging conversation that resonated deeply with attendees, solidifying a legacy of inspiration and further strengthening their mission to provide a unifying network that champions authenticity through unapologetic empowerment, wealth building, and the strength of sisterhood.

“This event provided an invaluable platform for Black women leaders to share their stories, challenges, and triumphs,” said Lesleigh “LIU” Irish-Underwood. “It’s crucial that we continue to support and uplift each other as we navigate the complexities of leadership and strive for both professional success and personal wellness.”
